It does shut off after 4 hours, which my 3 year old was pretty sad about. He likes seeing his stars when he wakes up in the morning. But I figured out a work-around. I realized that if it's turned on when it loses power, it turns back on when you plug it back in and the time resets. So I got a smart plug. We have it set to turn off at 10:00 (we usually turn his stars on no earlier than 7:00), and then turn back on at 3:30 A.M. (he wakes up around 6:30-7). Theoretically you could have the smart plug turn them off and then turn right back on a minute later if you want them constantly on all night, but my son doesn't seem to need that and I'm worried that would burn out the slides quickly. Anyway, just thought I'd share that little tidbit for any other parents looking into using this as a night light.
Over all, we love this projector so far. Good value for money. I'll update my review if we have any issues with longevity.
I got the Fussion Planetarium Projector for my kids’ bedroom, but honestly, the whole family enjoys it! The 13-in-1 design is super creative — from galaxies and planets to the Milky Way, each projection creates a magical vibe on the ceiling. It feels like sleeping under the stars without leaving your bed.
The LED lights are vivid and smooth, and the rotating feature adds an extra level of immersion. I love the built-in timer too — I usually set it for 30 minutes so the kids fall asleep to the lights without having to remember to turn it off.
The projector is lightweight and easy to use. One minor downside is that the images can get slightly blurry if not angled perfectly or placed at the right distance from the ceiling, but with a bit of adjusting, it works great.
✨ Overall, it’s a charming room decor piece, a relaxing nightlight, and an educational experience all in one. Totally recommend it for kids and even adults who want to unwind under a dreamy sky
