I bought this specifically because of the drawer and it works great. I fish a lot and was tired of putting my lunch in with the ice. This solution is perfect. Food in the drawer stays cold and the cooler keeps ice and ice packs for quite a while. I spend up to 8-12 hours on the water and the drinks are always cold and the food is always fresh!
