My cat loves it! Just upgraded to this one from my mogo 3—definitely worth it. The built-in battery makes a huge difference. The image quality is really great. This is my third xgimi product, and it hasn’t let me down at all! Now I’m just waiting for the portable screen so I can enjoy it all summer

Ok, we picked up the Mogo 3 kit and it is impressive for its size. As I mentioned in my earlier review, XGIMI hit all the right buttons but fell short in two areas. One, being a portable projector, it did not have a backlit remote making it impossible to see the buttons without light. Also, it lacked a battery charge (% remaining) that could be viewed on the screen. This new Mogo 4 fixed both! Same excellent LED light engine with 450 ISO lumens, auto keystone, auto focus, and eye protection should someone walk in front of the projector. Built in Google,TV with all the resident streaming apps you need and more. I have a tri-laser 1200 ANI lumens 4K projector from another manufacturer and I am hard pressed to detect a significant difference in the level of brightness…they are very close and the Mogo 4 colors pop more off the screen.
The extra remote that can be attached to the projector is a nice touch….a delighter in the Kano rankings.
Super portable, and once the initial setup is complete, takes only a minute to turn on and be viewing the Home Screen.
Unlike the Mogo 3, this new model has the batteries built into the projector itself, so you do not need the stand in order to use battery power. It will give you around 2.5 hours use from the battery and it defaults to ECO mode which is about at 50% level of brightness. You can choose to increase the brightness but you will consume your battery charge at a faster pace.
Overall, very impressive portable projector made even better with the recent release of the Mogo 4. You will notice XGIMI introduced two models of the Mogo 4….this LED version at 450 ISO lumens and a tri-laser advertised at 550 ISO lumens. I’ve seen both side by side and it is almost impossible to see a difference in the picture brightness. Maybe the laser has slightly better contrast and color saturation, but suggest you save the $300 and go with the LED version.

I ordered both MoGo 4s models including this MoGo 4 LED version, the MoGo 4 Laser, and also own the 4K XGIMI Horizon S Pro, so I’ve had a chance to really compare them all side by side. Out of the two MoGo 4s, this LED version is the one I’d recommend. In my opinion, the Laser version just isn’t worth the extra $300.

The picture quality between the LED and Laser models is very similar. The Laser version does have more vibrant colors and a touch more sharpness (very very minor), but unless you’re comparing them side by side (like I did), the difference is noticeable. The brightness (lumens) looked just about identical to me even though it says they are 100 lumen different.

One area where the Laser MoGo did have an edge is auto keystone correction. When repositioning the projectors, the Laser MoGo consistently gave me a more accurate, squared off image with less manual adjustment.

The built in Google TV works flawlessly it’s responsive, and supports all the major streaming apps I use. Even though the projector is 1080p, the image quality looks great. Of course, if you’re comparing it to a 4K projector like the Horizon S Pro, you’ll notice a difference, but that’s expected. For a portable projector, it performs very well. The built in speaker is also surprisingly good for its size, it gets nice and loud.

Overall, if you're deciding between the MoGo 4 models, I’d go with the LED version (this version). The laser versions slight advantages in image quality (mainly vibrant colors) and keystone correction do not justify the extra $300 in my opinion, especially if you're not comparing them side by side.
