Vornado 683 Medium Pedestal Whole Room Air Circulator Fan. 3 Speed Control. Adjustable Standing Height. 32 to 38 Inches. Black

This fan that I just bought recently is very quiet on low speed. I have another that I purchased a year or two ago and it is a little more noisy. It is well built and packaged. Assembles easy.

I bought this vornado to replace my large size Vornado, It had 3x speeds. This one has 3x speeds low, medium, high with shut off on the last “click” dial. In comparison the large was metal and had a larger top “the circular fan of the Vornado. The materials are very different between the two. This one is super powerful medium size fan. I get the same relief and air circulation with this design vs the large. It was super easy to set up didn’t even need directions no tools ⚒️. Took maybe 3-5 mins to put together. Noise level is low and circulation and air quality is max level. I live in desert climate and this will get me through the summer with my ac combined. Full relief. I’m hot a lot so this works well for those needing extra cooler air in the room and/or direction at them. It’s got a plastic base, top and bottom with a metal pole connecting together. It goes with any room or home. Kitchen, bedrooms or living areas. Versatility. I’m not sure this model comes with a remote control. I love Vornados!

If you can't fit the fan head on the stand it's because they shipped it on the lowest position of the pole. Extend the fan pole some or it physically won't fit to snap in to place.

I also wish this fan was just a few inches taller.

This little short fan does its job, on high settings it’s a lil loud I use the next setting it’s quite. Dose a great job puts out enough energy to cool a good size room.

I bought this during the hottest part of the summer. My window ac unit is in the front of my apartment and i wasn’t getting much cold air back in my bedroom. I put this in the middle of my apartment and it pulls the cold air into the bedroom while also circulating the hot air out of the room. At the highest speed it’s not very loud. It also dries the floors quickly after i mop. The only downside would be if you need to point the fan at the floor it cannot be adjusted to point at the floor but can be adjusted to point at the ceiling.

This is an " Air circulator ". These circulators are engineered differently than a fan. Personally I don't use fans ever since I bought my 1st circulator. The only misgiving I have is that it's a 3 speed. My last was a " Variable speed " unit. Having said that, this one has adjustable height. My last one didn't, it's a nice feature. They're both great but I like the ability to choose from more than just 3 speeds. All in all this air circulator is great! My wife was over the moon when she received it. It's very easy to assemble too.

I really like the power behind this fan. The noise level isn't too loud. And it's small enough that you hardly notice it's there. Only drawback in my opinion is it doesn't oscillate and could be a little taller but aside from that you will still notice a difference in airflow in the entire room.

DISLIKE:
I just unboxed the Vornado 683 fan within 10 minutes after receiving the item. It appears that the box was shipped from the factory and unopened. As I am taking the parts out of the box and removing the plastic bags, I noticed that the metal pedestal was all scratched up. I start to think WTF (why the face), did they ship me a used or re-manufactured unit? If this unit is brand new then why are there scratches all over the metal pedestal? If this is their craftsmanship at the factory then what other defects am I going to encounter after an hour, 12 hours, 24 hours, 2 days or 1 month?

LIKE:
- I was able to setup the fan in about 10 minutes.
- I like the design of the fan and pedestal.

I WILL EVALUATE THE FAN and report back after 1 month.
